A woman has been severely injured after being beaten and pushed under the Mountain Coast bus in Burnaby on Thursday afternoon.

It happened about 7 p.m. at 6th Street and 16th Avenue.

The CPR was played on a woman at the time, but it does not know where the patient came from.

Burnaby RCMP's general duty, traffic crime accident investigation and analysis rehabilitation teams were circulated to the scene to investigate.

TransLink confirmed that his bus was involved in an accident by a Thursday walker, but said he had no further information for his share.

"At this stage, we are not fully aware of the location of the event and as this is now a continuous police review, all questions should be directed to Burnaby RCMP," said spokesman in post- electricity.

Closed traffic on the 6th Street between the 15th Avenue and the 17th Avenue, and the drivers of the area are being asked to avoid.

Anyone with information is required to contact Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999.
