Nelson Mandela Andile Lungisa's ANC adviser says that he is not discouraged or bothered after the Greek High Court allows him to appeal for a two-year trial.
"I am fine. I use my legal choices and give the case, ”he said on Tuesday.
“We are taking the case to the SCA in Bloemfontein.
“We are sure we have a chance in a higher court.
"Although he doesn't promise positive results, but it's worth trying to raise the issue," said Lungisa.
"I press on it, I won't let you in."
Lungisa was found guilty of attacking after jugging a jug of glass over the head of a committee member for carrying, Rano Kayser, after a council meeting which turned unusual in October 2016.
Kayser treated her head with a cheek, and at the time he appeared in a shirt that was blooded in blood.
In 2018 Lungisa was sentenced to two years' imprisonment and sent to the PE Correctional Center, known as the Rooi Hel.

It only cost 16 days behind bars before he received an appeal. He was welcomed by a large group of ANC supporters who had been waiting outside outside the prison to pour water.
Judgment Judit Roberson said: "I don't think it was wrong."
"The master wasn't wrong when he thought the appellant was not repentance. It was clear when he gave evidence in kind that he wouldn't be responsible for what he did."
She said she had the strong judgment, saying that she would have put her a shorter sentence.
"But the difference between the chorus and the real truth is not so true that it's a reason to apply," said Roysen.
The executive judge Feziwe Renqe agreed with the birth.
