Cape Town Town will allow lower water restrictions from Level 5 to Level 3 from December, published on Thursday.
This means that everyone can use 105 liters per day, up from 70 liters a day, Lord Dan Plato said.
Allowances will also be reduced. If residents use less than 6000 liters per month, they can now expect to pay a lower 35.5%.
Plato said the reduction would be effective from 1 December.
Rev. Neil Neilson said: "There is no limit of water restriction, it's just a little different … we want to use and watch after this rehabilitation ".
