Einstein was recently known for playing Marty Funkhouser, an old friend with Larry David on HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm". Einstein created the character of Super Dave Osborne, a man, of course, an accident that was a featured on "Smothers Brothers" and other comedy mixing shows that began in the late 1960s.
Einstein Emmy was awarded as part of the writers of "Smothers Brothers" in 1969. He also received a writing Emmy in 1977 for his work on the different exhibition at Nelson Van Dyke "Van Dyke and Company." Einstein was also a regular player on the show, along with young Andy Kaufman.
Einstein's death was confirmed by Wednesday with his brother, filmmaker and film maker Albert Brooks.
"R. R. My beloved brother Bob Einstein. Big brother, father and man. A funny man. You'll never miss," Brooks wrote.
