Krzysztof Piatek is hoping his remarkable Genoa form will be enough to secure a big-money transfer in the coming months.

The Genoa striker has grabbed 13 goals in 13 appearances and has been a revelation since signing for the Italians last summer.

Chelsea are among a host of reported suitors keeping tabs on Piatek, with Juventus, Roma, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund also credited with an interest.

Genoa are expecting to have to fend off interest in Piatek in January and the forward has now made his intentions clear.

'The dream of those who come to Genoa is that they use it as a stepping stone towards a big club,' Piatek told Corriere della Sera.

'If I continue this way, I could sign for a big club. My objective is to play in the Champions League. '

Maurizio Sarri is thought to be keen to bring Piatek to Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea have baulked at Genoa's £ 40million-plus asking price.

The 23-year-old is under contract at Genoa until 2022, but the Italians may want to cash in on Piatek while they can.

Piatek's form has dropped off in recent weeks and the center-forward is currently on a five-game goal drought.

Chelsea are expected to sign at least one striker in January, as Sarri still has his doubts about Alvaro Morata.

The Blues are still in the hunt for a Premier League title, and remain unbeaten in all competitions this season.

Sarri wants to continue pushing Manchester City and Liverpool in the league, with four points separating Chelsea and the top of the table.
