Closing Bell: Sensex ends 481 pt higher, Nifty at 11,300; Bharti Airtel top gainer

Nearby market: A bull attacked Dalal Street as a benchmark index for the following two days rose.

The Sensex was up to 481.56 points at 37535.66, while Nifty was up 133.20 points at 11301.20. Some 1595 shares have progressed, 1088 shares have been reduced, and 147 sections have not changed.

Bharti Airtel, the ICICI Bank, Bank IndusInd, L&T and Port Adani were major employees of the Nifty, and bearers of Hector Motors, Bajaj Finance, ONGC, Bharti Infratel and Infosys.

Regions included interest in infra, energy, bank, FMG, metal and pharmacy, and the IT IT and PSU indices closed slightly lower.

The BSE medium-sized index was up by 0.6 per cent, while the BSE Smallcap index ended 1 per cent higher.
