According to Mission 3752 of 2015 the Ministry of Transport, new vehicles entering the country, as at January 1, 2017, must have airbags, ABS brands and fastenings.
- ABS brakes: It's a brake system that hinders the wheels being gutted and split when they are breaking.
- Airbag or airbag: It is a passive safety system that is installed in new cars. If it is valid, it works automatically to limit the control of the driver.
- Headrest: It controls a president's seated position on the seat. That way, if you suffer an accident, there's a reduction in damage.
How safe are the taxis traveling around Bogotá?
The situation is worrying. According to El Tiempo, of the 49,552 logos that were recorded in Bogotá, only 2% (1,024) of aircrew, barriers and ABS brakes, are the ones coming with basic technology.
This means that over 97% of these vehicles are dangerous and do not meet the basic safety standards that could save a life at the time of a traffic accident. T
