After falling at the second stage of Paris-Nice Monday, Warren Barguil (Arkea-Samsic) had to retire. Bad news for his team, he is still not sure to be on Tour de France.
The Paris-Nice 2019 of Warren Barguil finished at second level on Monday. The rider started on the best 2015 Tour de France team, Arkea-Samsic, to the 59th kilometer of the platform at the same time as other riders, especially the Spanish Gorka Izagirre (3rd last year in Nice). Barguil lost a sensation after a fall, and was taken to hospital where he gave a control scanner.
This is a bad news for a team, who strives to win one of the last invitations for the next tour of France.
