ANTANANARIVO 12 March (WebNoviny.sk) – In Madagascar, a serious measles infection has killed more than 1,100 people. Reported the WHO on Monday, saying there were 900 more deaths a month.

Most victims are children under 14. The number of people with the disease has also risen, from 66,000 to 87,000.

The pandemic may be due to a low immunization rate below 60%, according to WHO. In the meantime, authorities have launched a major vaccination campaign to control the situation.
