Long-term access to York Street starts on Friday to expand the underground PATH system.
York Street will be reduced to one road per side from Bremner Boulevard to Lake Shore Boulevard between 4 January and April 2020.
The town says that the expansion, which is expected to be open to the public in June 2020, will add more underground access to Union Station and add an additional connection to it; town.
Teams also provide a lower than lower level infrastructure infrastructure in the area.
It is expected that the project will be built from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Friday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. No work will be done on a Sunday or a statutory holiday.
"Motorists and cyclists who traveled on that part of York Street are being asked to be patient and provide additional time, or consider another route such as Street Bays or Lower Simcoe Street, "said the town in a press release published on Thursday.
