The Liberals want to build a positive framework around billions in housing costs

OTTAWA – The first information from the Liberal government's decennial housing plan shows that early spending has helped to keep around 14,000 homes in accessible units.

The national housing strategy is only a few months old, with many parts of the plan being launched in April and more to go out in the coming months.

The Liberals have not yet committed to committing its strategy, its objectives and spending it into law.

Today, the Liberals use "National Housing Day" to talk about $ 5.7 billion in social costs that the government says has helped with more than 775,000 homes since they came to an office.

Background documents show that the figure is a cost to # 39; Includes budgetary budgets annually for housing programs and Liberal dollars set aside in their first budget in 2016
