Scientists at the University of Deakin in Australia have found that vitamin C tablet can help reduce blood sugar levels.
The study, which was published in the Diabetes and Obesity magazine, found that it could take two hours of 500 mg a day, Reducing high levels of blood sugar, and reducing the uptake of food in a patient with type II diabetes.
Professor Glenn Wadley, co-author of the survey, said: "We found that the high blood sugar of the partners was reduced by 36% after food." This is a good news. Hyperglycaemia is a serious risk of cardiovascular disease in people with diabetes.
