WhatsApp will soon allow users to directly watch videos from notifications

Developers at multimedia messaging platform WhatsApp are constantly working on new features for their app across multiple platforms. These new features serve as a useful addition to an app platform that already covers all the basics for a messaging platform. According to the latest information on the internet, WhatsApp developers seem to be working on the ability to allow users to watch videos directly from the notifications. This is likely to improve how users can interact with the messages directly from the notifications. This brings video messages on part with photos or text messages that are sent over WhatsApp.

Earlier users had to open the app just to check the video messages that their family and friends shared on the platform. This would generally change the last seen of the users even if they are just checking the messages. This feature addition will allow users to check all type of messages directly from the notifications without affecting the last seen. It is likely that some WhatsApp users may not take the last seen time into consideration but it is an important factor for most WhatsApp users.

Last seen time is likely to convey an unintended message to the users of the other end of the conversation. This includes possible inferences that the user does not want to respond to the messages or the user was online, on WhatsApp even if they just came online for a brief time to just check all the messages.

WABetaInfo was the first one to report this new feature. The person behind this account further revealed that WhatsApp is planning to launch this feature for WhatsApp beta users for iOS from Apple App store. This comes right after Apple announced that it is deleting all the WhatsApp sticker packs from the App Store.
